Dr. Johnson, DVM
Dr. Tanner S. Johnson was born in South Carolina, but grew up in the sunshine state of Florida! He attended the University of Florida for both his undergraduate and doctoral studies, graduating in May of 2016. Following the call of adventure, he moved to Colorado shortly after and has never looked back.
During his studies, Dr. Johnson received an honorary certificate in veterinary dentistry and is a very strong advocate for dental health in pets. His other professional interests include soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and behavior. Dr. Johnson lives in Aurora with his partner and two pups: Terra, a 7-year-old female chocolate lab, and Dante, a 4-year-old male lab mix.
Dr. Whitehill, DVM
Dr. Whitehill is Colorado born and raised, she received her Bachelor’s of Science at Colorado State University and then went on to vet school at Midwestern University in Arizona. After graduation, she was looking forward to coming back home to Colorado and worked at a mixed animal practice out on the eastern plains. She is very excited to now be working at WellHaven Pet Health Denver!
Dr. Whitehill has a special interest in canine reproduction and did a month-long rotation with a veterinary reproduction specialist while in her last year of vet school. She also enjoys preventative medicine where she is able to work as a team with owners to determine the best plan to keep their furry family members healthy.
When not at the clinic Dr. Whitehill likes to go to Rockies games and hike with her son and husband. She also enjoys spending time with her four-legged family: her two dogs Belle and Bubba and her cat Jack.
Karen, Practice Manager
Caitlin, Certified Veterinary Technician
Caitlin was born and raised in Illinois before moving to Colorful Colorado to become a Certified Veterinary technician. After a few years of working in emergency hospitals and with mobile veterinary specialists, she decided to settle down with an awesome General Practice. In her personal time, she enjoys reading and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
Brianna, Lead Technician
Brianna was born and raised here in Colorado. Since she was a little girl she knew she wanted to be in the veterinary field. When she was 16 years old she got her first veterinary job and has loved it ever since. Brianna now has been a technician for 10 years.
Outside of work, she loves to go fishing and enjoy the beautiful mountains with her husband and daughter. Brianna is also committed to the bulldog breed. She does AKC conformation shows and breeds to the BCA standard. She is a huge health advocate for the breed and is wanting to always better the breed. Pictured below is her grand champion bulldog named Ruger. He had a very successful show career.
Kelsea, Veterinary Assistant
While newer to the field of veterinary medicine, Kelsea has always had a strong interest in one day working with animals. With a love to learn and a determination to seek out her passion, she gave up the career path she knew and started fresh. Now, almost a year later, she’s glad of her choices and doesn’t look back. Learning something new every day, she’s thankful to have found her place.
Born and raised in Colorado, Kelsea shares a wonderful home with her husband and their two pets. Living in Thornton, she loves to take both her dog and cat on adventures with her and hopes to experience more of Colorado with her little family. More of her hobbies include knitting, reading, and playing Dungeons and Dragons; with some video games thrown in.
Lauren, Veterinary Assistant
Ever since Lauren knew what a veterinarian was, she knew that she wanted to be one. She is currently working towards this goal and will graduate from Colorado State University with her undergraduate degree in December. What little time she doesn’t spend studying, Lauren enjoys reading, playing music, and attending concerts.
